Outfit of the Day!

Outfit of the Day!

Hey guys!
I just wanted to show you my outfit of the day! This is a great outfit for the spring time, especially if you will be inside somewhere cold like the mall or a restaurant because of the layers. However, it’s also great for being outside on those cooler spring days.

Today I’m wearing a chambray tank top with white polka dots, along with a blue-green scarf, both from Anthropologie.  I am also wearing black skinny jeans from Kohl’s and a gold Fossil watch. As for shoes, I am wearing pink/nude flats from Target. I have also curled my hair to make this look a little dressier.

I hope you guys like it and keep checking back for more fun things!

May Glam Bag!

Hey guys!

I know I haven’t uploaded an Ipsy post in a while, but here’s what I got in my May Ipsy bag!
First off the bag is really cute, it says “VIP: Very Important Products”

The first product on the left is a lip product from Urban Decay. It comes in a little packet kind of like a booklet. Inside there is a primer pencil along with two different colors, Failbait and Bittersweet. These colors are so beautiful but I have yet to try them out because it is a one-time use product which I don’t really like.

The next product I am going to talk about is the top left CC cream. It is a really great CC cream that I like to use under my eyes to cover up my dark circles.

The product to the right of the CC cream is a product I’ve been using almost every day. It’s a leave in conditioner and it leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth, plus, it smells amazing!! This is probably my favorite product from this month’s bag!

The top right product is a bronzer. I’ve used it a few times and I think it’s a great product and really pigmented. I’m glad they gave me a bronzer because it’s perfect for the summer!

Finally, right above the bag is an eyeshadow brush. This is a product I am not thrilled about because out of the five months I’ve had Ipsy, this is the third eyeshadow brush I’ve gotten. I mean, a girl only needs so many! Nonetheless, it’s still a good quality eyeshadow brush.

That’s everything I got in my May Ipsy bag!
Keep on checking back for more fun things!

Let's Get Crafty! - DIY home decor!

Hey guys!

Today I’m gonna show you how to make your own terrariums!
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • ·         A glass jar
  • ·         Rocks/pebbles
  • ·         Dirt
  • ·         Plants (I used succulents)
  • ·         Decorative objects (optional)

So let’s get started!

The first step is to get a clean glass jar. You can use anything you like. I got mine, along with everything else, from Walmart. Next you’re going to cover the bottom of the jar with a layer of pebbles. You want to make sure to do this step because it’s going to act as a place for the water to drain so the soil doesn't get too wet and soggy.

Next, you are going to put a layer of dirt over the pebbles.
After, you’re going to take your plants out of the pot and plant them into your terrarium. This is the fun part because you can get as creative as you want! You want to make sure the plant is covered in as much dirt in the terrarium as it was in the original pot.

After that you can add all sorts of decorative objects. And that’s it! This is a super fun and easy home decor DIY and can even be great presents!

I used succulents so if you use these types of plants, make sure to water them once a week!
Come back for more fun things!

February Glam Bag!!

Hey guys!

So I just received my February Glam Bag from Ipsy and I wanted to show you guys what I got!

So first off the bag it came in is SO CUTE! I absolutely adore it and I’m going to use it as my makeup bag from now on.

So let’s get started with what’s inside.

To the left of the bag is a pink lip stain from a company called City Color. The lip stain doesn’t really have a smell to it, but the texture is very smooth and slippery for a lip stain. Usually when I think of lip stains, I think of the texture being dry and the product to resemble a marker. However, when I put this lip stain on, it was very wet and easily transferrable. But when I wiped it off, it did leave my lips a pink color, making it more of a stained, matte look. Overall, I think it is a beautiful color, but I will have to use it more to have a more thorough review.

The product on the bottom left is a hair texturizer and also a heat protectant and it smells so good! I have used it after I shower and before I blow dry my hair and it leaves my hair feeling soft and smelling delicious!

The product next to the hair texturizer is an eyelash curler which I am super excited about because I’ve basically worn mine out, so I really needed one! So I’m excited to use it and finally have a new one!!

The product on the top right is a rose colored blush which I am excited to try out. I don’t typically use blush, but I am eager to experiment with it.
And finally, the picture on the bottom right is a face oil from the company Mitchell and Peach. I have never used a face oil before, only moisturizers, but I tried it last night and it left my face feeling very smooth and hydrated. The smell the product has a very soothing and relaxing, so it’s definitely something I will use after the shower and before I go to bed.

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and keep checking back for more fun things!

January Glam Bag!

Hey guys!

I know it’s been a while since I've posted on here but I've just had some personal stuff going on, so I hope you understand. So I know I’m kind of late on this, but I got my first Ipsy bag last month and I wanted to post this while it was still January, but like they say, better late than never!
So here’s what I got in my first Ipsy bag!!

First off, the package it came in was bright pink! How cute is that?!

With every Ipsy package, it comes with a makeup bag which I really like. This month’s bag was blue on one side and white on the other side. Inside the bag was a bunch of fun goodies!

First off, there was a pink eye shadow brush and it was perfect because I really needed a new one! The brush is really good quality and the hairs of the brush are super soft! On the bottom left, there is organic eye cream. There’s not really a scent to it, but with this product, a little really goes a long way. The second product on the bottom is mojito lip balm and it smells soooo good! It’s a very shiny lip balm which I don’t really like but it’s very moisturizing. The third product on the bottoms is a bronze colored eye shadow from a company called Pacifica. This eye shadow is super pigmented and like the eye cream; a little goes a long way. And finally the bottom right product is a beautiful, white loose pigment from Bellapierre cosmetics which I will use as a highlight. I’m really excited about this highlight because it’s very bright and pigmented and I think it will work really well with a lot of eye shadows!

Overall, I’m really excited about my first Ipsy bag and I can’t wait for February's glam bag!

And a special thank you to everyone who has been patient with me so far, I really appreciate it! I’ll talk to you guys soon, I promise!

Stay beautiful! :)

Hey guys!

So I've been on kind of a health kick lately and I wanted to share something with you guys! Recently I've discovered Naturebox which is a website that sends you yummy snacks each month, and the best part is that you can try a free sample with their trial box!
I got my trial box a few days ago and I wanted to share what was in it! Before they send you your box, there is a taste quiz that you take so they can get a feeling of what snacks to send you. Here's what I got in my box!

In the trial box, they send you one regular sized snack and four trial size snacks. My regular sized snack was cookie-coated cashews. At first I was a little skeptical about this because I don't really like cashews, but theses are SO GOOD! I was really surprised at how much I liked them! Now for the trial sized snacks from top to bottom are: sea salt sun crunch, garden tomato crunchies, cinnamon swirl kettle kernels, and coconut cashews. As of right now I've only tried two of the trial size snacks. I've tried the sea salt sun crunch and they were really good too! They kind of looked like little circular hash browns, I definitely want more of those! I've also tried the cinnamon swirl kettle kernels and they were not a favorite of mine! I ate a few of them and just did not like them! But I'm excited to try the rest of them!

I really like the idea of having healthy snack delivered to my door every month and I can't wait to see what comes next month! You guys should definitely check out their website!

Disclaimer - I purchased these products on my own and all opinions are my own. I am in no way affiliated or sponsored by Naturebox.

Ootd - What to Wear to an Interview!

OOTD - What to wear on Interview Day!

Hey guys!
I've been going on tons of interviews lately and I wanted to share with you two outfits that I wore to some of my interviews!

The first outfit is a dress from Forever 21 along with the a silver watch also from Forever 21, and black high heels. I love this dress and I think it looks very professional for an interview. If you wanted to, you could also add a nice statement necklace or blazer.

This second outfit is probably my favorite! I am wearing a white floral tank top that I wore in a previous ootd, a grey pin skirt, a skinny black belt, black high heels, and a silver watch!
I absolutely love this outfit and I think its super cute!

One thing you want to keep in my when going into interview is to, keep your outfit professional. I of course want to do something in fashion so I have to make sure to dress for success. So here are some tips to make sure you are looking professional and top notch for your interview!

1.       Make sure if you wear heels, they are not too high. If your heels are too high, it gives off the illusion of seduction.
2.       If you are wearing a skirt or a dress, make sure it is not too short! You don’t want to give off the wrong impression of yourself, first impressions are important! For many of the employers, this is the first time they will see and really take notice of you, so you want to make sure you don’t give a bad notion about you. About knees length is usually the safety zone for dresses and skirts. You may be able to get away with an inch or two higher above the knee, but anything higher is a big NO!
3.       Another tip is to dress conservatively, meaning you don’t want to show too much, as in cleavage or leg. Once again, you don’t want to give the wrong impression of yourself.

These next two tips don’t really have anything to do with clothes, but definitely has something to do with your appearance.

4.       Don’t go to heavy on the make up! Remember you are interviewing for a job, not going out to the club. You want to have your makeup pretty minimal and natural looking. I wouldn't go for a very bold lip color or blush. But I would go for a natural foundation, a neutral eye shadow look, and just a bit of mascara and eye liner.
5.       My last tip is to lighten up on the perfume. One, tiny sprits is all you need! You don’t want to suffocate your future employer the first time you meet them, so you want go light on the perfume.

Hopefully you guys found these tips helpful and keep checking back for more fun things!
