Ootd - What to Wear to an Interview!

OOTD - What to wear on Interview Day!

Hey guys!
I've been going on tons of interviews lately and I wanted to share with you two outfits that I wore to some of my interviews!

The first outfit is a dress from Forever 21 along with the a silver watch also from Forever 21, and black high heels. I love this dress and I think it looks very professional for an interview. If you wanted to, you could also add a nice statement necklace or blazer.

This second outfit is probably my favorite! I am wearing a white floral tank top that I wore in a previous ootd, a grey pin skirt, a skinny black belt, black high heels, and a silver watch!
I absolutely love this outfit and I think its super cute!

One thing you want to keep in my when going into interview is to, keep your outfit professional. I of course want to do something in fashion so I have to make sure to dress for success. So here are some tips to make sure you are looking professional and top notch for your interview!

1.       Make sure if you wear heels, they are not too high. If your heels are too high, it gives off the illusion of seduction.
2.       If you are wearing a skirt or a dress, make sure it is not too short! You don’t want to give off the wrong impression of yourself, first impressions are important! For many of the employers, this is the first time they will see and really take notice of you, so you want to make sure you don’t give a bad notion about you. About knees length is usually the safety zone for dresses and skirts. You may be able to get away with an inch or two higher above the knee, but anything higher is a big NO!
3.       Another tip is to dress conservatively, meaning you don’t want to show too much, as in cleavage or leg. Once again, you don’t want to give the wrong impression of yourself.

These next two tips don’t really have anything to do with clothes, but definitely has something to do with your appearance.

4.       Don’t go to heavy on the make up! Remember you are interviewing for a job, not going out to the club. You want to have your makeup pretty minimal and natural looking. I wouldn't go for a very bold lip color or blush. But I would go for a natural foundation, a neutral eye shadow look, and just a bit of mascara and eye liner.
5.       My last tip is to lighten up on the perfume. One, tiny sprits is all you need! You don’t want to suffocate your future employer the first time you meet them, so you want go light on the perfume.

Hopefully you guys found these tips helpful and keep checking back for more fun things!
