Hey guys!

So I've been on kind of a health kick lately and I wanted to share something with you guys! Recently I've discovered Naturebox which is a website that sends you yummy snacks each month, and the best part is that you can try a free sample with their trial box!
I got my trial box a few days ago and I wanted to share what was in it! Before they send you your box, there is a taste quiz that you take so they can get a feeling of what snacks to send you. Here's what I got in my box!

In the trial box, they send you one regular sized snack and four trial size snacks. My regular sized snack was cookie-coated cashews. At first I was a little skeptical about this because I don't really like cashews, but theses are SO GOOD! I was really surprised at how much I liked them! Now for the trial sized snacks from top to bottom are: sea salt sun crunch, garden tomato crunchies, cinnamon swirl kettle kernels, and coconut cashews. As of right now I've only tried two of the trial size snacks. I've tried the sea salt sun crunch and they were really good too! They kind of looked like little circular hash browns, I definitely want more of those! I've also tried the cinnamon swirl kettle kernels and they were not a favorite of mine! I ate a few of them and just did not like them! But I'm excited to try the rest of them!

I really like the idea of having healthy snack delivered to my door every month and I can't wait to see what comes next month! You guys should definitely check out their website!

Ootd - What to Wear to an Interview!

OOTD - What to wear on Interview Day!

Hey guys!
I've been going on tons of interviews lately and I wanted to share with you two outfits that I wore to some of my interviews!

The first outfit is a dress from Forever 21 along with the a silver watch also from Forever 21, and black high heels. I love this dress and I think it looks very professional for an interview. If you wanted to, you could also add a nice statement necklace or blazer.

This second outfit is probably my favorite! I am wearing a white floral tank top that I wore in a previous ootd, a grey pin skirt, a skinny black belt, black high heels, and a silver watch!
I absolutely love this outfit and I think its super cute!

One thing you want to keep in my when going into interview is to, keep your outfit professional. I of course want to do something in fashion so I have to make sure to dress for success. So here are some tips to make sure you are looking professional and top notch for your interview!

1.       Make sure if you wear heels, they are not too high. If your heels are too high, it gives off the illusion of seduction.
2.       If you are wearing a skirt or a dress, make sure it is not too short! You don’t want to give off the wrong impression of yourself, first impressions are important! For many of the employers, this is the first time they will see and really take notice of you, so you want to make sure you don’t give a bad notion about you. About knees length is usually the safety zone for dresses and skirts. You may be able to get away with an inch or two higher above the knee, but anything higher is a big NO!
3.       Another tip is to dress conservatively, meaning you don’t want to show too much, as in cleavage or leg. Once again, you don’t want to give the wrong impression of yourself.

These next two tips don’t really have anything to do with clothes, but definitely has something to do with your appearance.

4.       Don’t go to heavy on the make up! Remember you are interviewing for a job, not going out to the club. You want to have your makeup pretty minimal and natural looking. I wouldn't go for a very bold lip color or blush. But I would go for a natural foundation, a neutral eye shadow look, and just a bit of mascara and eye liner.
5.       My last tip is to lighten up on the perfume. One, tiny sprits is all you need! You don’t want to suffocate your future employer the first time you meet them, so you want go light on the perfume.

Hopefully you guys found these tips helpful and keep checking back for more fun things!

Ootd – Date Night!

Hey guys! I just wanted to show you something I would wear on a date night! :)

I am wearing this beautiful dress which is tan/khaki on top and a tangerine-ish color on the bottom. Wanna know a little secret about where I got this dress? I got it at Uptown Cheapskate for less than $10!! What a steal!!

Places like Uptown Cheapskate and Plato’s closet are great for shopping if you’re on a tight budget. They’re also a great place to sell your clothes and get cash too! (Just as a reference, this post is not in any way sponsored! Just my personal opinion!) The only bad thing about places like this is that I don’t know what store the dress actually came from! >:( I would love to know where the person bought this dress so I could find more cute things, so if any of you have seen this dress before, let me know where!

I've paired this dress with some cute brown wedges from Rue 21, a gold Fossil watch, and a gold necklace from Forever 21. I think this is a super cute date night/going out outfit! It’s perfect for those warm summer nights that are still left!

I hope you guys liked this outfit and make sure to keep checking back for more fun things!! :)

Outfit of the Day!

Hey guys!

I'm back with another outfit of the day!
Today I am wearing a white floral tank top from Anthropologie, teal high-waisted shorts from Charlotte Russe, and a gold watch from Fossil.  I also curled my hair to add some volume and to make it more flowy to go along with this summer look. I love this outfit because it's super comfy, casual, and perfect for the summer, even though summer is ending soon :( So we better make the most of the warm days that are left!

Thanks so much for stopping by and keep on checking back for more fun things!

Let's Get Crafty - DIY Wall Decor!

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to show you how to do this quick and easy wall decor DIY!

  1. First off you're going to need wooden letters (I got these from AC Moore), paint, paint brushes, glitter (optional of course), and hairspray (also optional).
  2. Next you are going to want to figure out what design you want on your letters. For mine, I tried to create an ombre effect starting with the darkest color at the top and gradually getting lighter towards the bottom. Since my room is purple and gold, I decided to use purple for the base color and use gold paint as the accent color for the designs.
  3. After you figure out how you would like your letters designed, go ahead and start painting the base color for your letters. Since I did an ombre effect I started painting the darkest color then kept adding white paint to make the purple paint lighter.
  4. When you are done painting the base color, make sure to wait a few hours before painting the design on, unless you are going to use glitter. If you are using glitter make sure the paint is a little tacky when you pour the glitter on, meaning it's not too wet but not too dry either. After you pour the glitter on, make sure you seal it with something so the glitter doesn't fall off. I used regular aerosol hairspray.
  5.  Once your letters are dry, go ahead and start paint the design you would like with your accent color.
  6. After you're done painting, make sure you set your letters somewhere to dry overnight.
  7. Now you're finally done! The last step is display your letters! I put mine on my bedroom wall and secured them with command strips, I put 3-4 on each one.
It's that simple! Keep checking back for more fun things!

Outfit of the Day!

Hey guys!

So here's what I'm wearing today!

I'm wearing a plain white cami and olive green high waisted shorts from Charlotte Russe, a denim vest from Kohl's, and a brown, leather, wrap around watch I got while I was in Italy. This outfit is great for the summer time and for the fall! When fall rolls around, I can match the top with olive green skinny jeans, or tan/khaki colored skinny jeans, along with some cute brown boots!

Review!

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to review the Sally Hansen Vita Surge Strength Gel that I bought in my mini nail polish haul!
Like I said in that blog post, I have always had weak and brittle nails and every time I get them the length I want them to be, they always break! So, I decided to do something about it and try a nail strengthener. So I tried the Sally Hansen Vita Surge Strength Gel. I've always thought Sally Hansen was a good brand and I've always loved their nail polishes so I figured Sally Hansen would be a good place to start.

This product claims to provide stronger nails within 5 days by using Vitamin C and E. It is, "A fast absorbing gel formula for weak nails that split and peel. Leaves no color." The results are "strong, resilient, healthy looking nails."

The directions say that the product can be applied on bare or painted nails and will work in just 5 days.
I followed the directions and applied the product everyday on painted nails (because they were already painted and I didn't feel like taking them off) for five days. I honestly didn't see any difference. I continued using the product everyday after the five days, and still. no. difference.

I'm wondering if the product didn't work because I had my nails painted, but if that is the reason it didn't work, they should not have put that it works on painted nails on the box.
I may try using this product again on bare nails and I'll do an updated review if it works, but for right now, I'm not so sure it will.

If any of you guys have tried this product, let me know if it worked for you! And also leave me some suggestions of other nail strengtheners that you've tried and worked!

Outfit of the day!

Hey guys!
I just wanted to give you a quick update of what I'm wearing today! I'm wearing a light pink tank top with some pleats in the middle from Ann Taylor, white jeggings from Charlotte Russe, light brown wedges from Rue 21, and a gold Fossil watch. The jeggings I'm wearing are super comfy and I've also cuffed them twice on the bottom to show off my wedges. The wedges I'm wearing are about an inch high so they're not too high or too uncomfortable for me. I personally don't like really high wedges because I haven't found a pair that is comfortable for me to wear, but what's strange is that when it comes to heals, the bigger the better! And although you can't see my hair all that well, I have it half up, half down and slightly curled.
Hope you guys enjoyed and keep on checking back for more fun things!

Let's Get Crafty! - DIY Home Decor

Hey guys! I just wanted to show you a quick and easy DIY that anyone can do! All you need is a clean, empty jar and some paint. First you want to completely clean your jar, I used an old candle jar.

Step 1
How I took the excess candle wax out was by boiling water and pouring it into the jar. Leave the water in there for about 30 minutes and then just pour it out! The candle wax comes out completely and effortlessly! Easy as that!

Step 2
After your jar is all clean, what you want to do is pour some paint in to it and spread the paint by rolling the jar around. You can also use a paint brush and paint the inside of the jar, but you may get some streak marks from the paint brush. One tip I cannot stress enough is to be sure to paint the inside, not the outside! Trust me on this guys! I definitely learned my lesson the first time I tried this DIY. By painting the inside you will be left with a nice glossy finish. If you paint the outside.. it'll still be painted, but in my opinion it won't look as nice. However, if you do want to paint the outside instead of the inside, you can spray paint it for a nice, smooth finish! After you have the entire jar painted let it dry overnight.

Step 3
Once it's dry, add anything you like to the inside! I like to put fake flowers in mine to spruce my room up and add a pop of color :)
And here's the finished product!

Spring Nail Polish Mini Haul!

Hey guys!

So recently I've been really into painting my nails and happened to pick up some new nail polishes within the past couple of day and decided I would show them to you. The first one I bought and am currently wearing right now is from the Drew Barrymore "Flower" collection. The color is "What's the Daffodilly-O?".

This is the first item I've bought from her collection and I was really excited to try it out because I have heard such great reviews on her products. Along with "What's the Daffodilly-O" I am wearing my absolute favorite top coat, Seche Vite. It is the best top coat I have ever used! It stays on for days and doesn't chip as easily as some of the other top coats I have used. Although it is a bit pricey compared to some other top coats, I believe it's definitely worth the few extra dollars!

The next nail polish I'm excited to try is a beautiful indigo color by Sinful Colors called "Blue La La."

The next two nail polishes I got were on sale for 50% off at CVS, what a steal! They're both from Revlon and they are called "Lingering Spice" and "Pink-finity"

Finally, the last thing I bought is a nail strengthening gel. I basically grew up biting and picking at my nails so they're really weak, brittle, and short! Every time I get them the length I want, they ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS BREAK! So hopefully this strengthening gel by Sally Hansen works! And if it does I'll definitely let you guys know and write a review on it!

The colors are pretty true to the pictures shown above, but here are some swatches of the colors!
(From left to right: Lingering Spice, Pink-finity,What's the Daffodilly-O?, Blue La La)

Hope you guys enjoyed this very short nail polish haul and I'll write back again soon!
Thanks for visiting and come back again for more things fashion and fabulous!
